Slide 1

What do we do?

We are a community resource centre which promotes health and learning through access to information, services and training, within a multi-agency environment.
We aim to provide what people need, where they live, within areas of social deprivation, to tackle health inequalities. Funded through a number of grants including SRB3 – Part of Madeley Challenge. CHEC opened in September 1999.

Other agencies

Many other agencies offer sessions from CHEC including QUIT 51 and Green Gym. You can see the full list here

CHEC Mates Daycare

"Consistent quality assured care and education provided in a warm safe and happy environment" We have a 27 place nursery which is Ofsted registered for babies to 5 years of age. Through play we help children to develop the skills they need to become independent, sociable and to interact with others. At Chec Mates children learn about themselves and those around them, and that everyone is individual and has different needs. We ensure activities are stimulating, enjoyable and above all achievable, encouraging children to make positive contributions to the nursery.
